I did a bit of research into race number sizes which gave me a quick idea on the sizes of race number badges. I have 6 X 6.25 in for single or double digits and 8.5 X 5.5 in or 8.5 X 7 in for the triple digit numbers.

I then mocked the numbers up onto t-shirts/vest men and women would probably wear at the event to show how these race numbers would work. I kept the font of the numbers the same to keep everything flowing nicely.
In context-i tested how the race numbers would look like on tee's when people would wear them.
After trying this i felt the race numbers worked well, and were clear.

Logo Development
I felt my idea of using the flag as the main focus of my logo design was my strongest idea because the welsh flag is a symbolic symbol and this would make the international audience aware where the event is. I also felt the welsh flag has a lot of character with the welsh dragon becoming the most symbolic symbol to where this event is going to take place. Here are the development of the logo..

Idea 3
My concept behind this design this was the daffodil emblems Wales. My initial design ideas for this concept was to use the daffodils as a movement of the girl running which came from inspiration from my research from the nike womens marathon logo. As i was developing this i felt like the daffodils looked more like a flower show rather than a marathon!
