Poster Decision

I chose this as my final poster as i felt it was simple and got the information which i intended to get across quickly without other things confusing the message.

After a bit of thinking i decided i wanted to keep the format of the application pack standard a4. I thought packaging this in a clear pack like before with the ribbon would look quiet nice.

From crits people have mentioned that the logo i have chosen is possibly not my strongest as the logo i have chosen is a bit pixalated and also because i have cropped the flag with the type it last lost its identity.

So therefore i have chosen the logo below. I feel it has more of an identity as the red dragon is visible and it is clearly identifiable as the welsh flag. I also kept the layout of the type as i thought it worked quiet well.

Poster ideas

Initial poster ideas. I decided for my poster design i wanted to keep them pure type based as from my research, i found the typographic posters worked the best. My initial ideas have started by adveetising the date of the event and taking quotes from past marathon winners. Im not sure if the quotes would work for the promotion for this event as the most important information is about this particular event, the cardiff half marathon. However i quiet like the typographic date poster which i will develop further.


Poster development-
I tried to play on the word half like i found in my research as i thought this was clever to play on the word. Im still not happy with these i think il need to develop them further.
